Something short and simple.

Sadly, my first thought was "Claude, write me a simple first blog post to test out the feature on Hashnode". I let myself and the team down at the first hurdle.

A dev blog is used for many things:

Keeping the users up to date with the development of the game. Probably the most obvious.

Building a community of followers.

Giving a behind the scenes look to that community, maybe build a bit of hype.

Giving the developers a creative outlet to express their excitement and satisfaction on a personal level to the followers.

So main take away, it is about community, personality and expression. Some very human traits that would be washed away with this cultural tsunami that is Artificial Intelligence. So I am glad I caught myself from falling into the easy trap of "this is just a simple post to test this feature".

The devs and I are battling with the moral and ethical grounds on which AI is being built but we cannot deny that there is a profound benefit using it for good. And as none of us devs have used Unity before, we have decided for now that we will use AI as a guide, professor, guru and teacher. So we can learn Unity without it doing the work for us.

No snippets, No code changes, No writing, No input in the creative process, No designing, No planning.

Just answer our questions, give us advice on the common mistakes, guides us through our errors, inform us on common standard practices.

I think this will allow us to make our game that we vision without wasted time on the endless YouTube video tutorials and articles that don't quite fit our use case. It will allow us to learn and enjoy the beauty of code without spending days on an obscure bug that is slowing motivation and engagement on development.

AI is much more than a new search engine, I know that. But it can be used as a much more advanced search engine to give information without deskilling us.

We are going to try to use this power for good and if we think it is getting in the way of our vision or product, we can just as easily stop using it. It is a tool of great power, but still only a tool.

I know there isn't much here about the game but there is not much to say. All we know is it will be about bikes. We have taken the first step and we look forward to you walking this path with us. Thanks for reading, I am buzzing for this game.
